TMA1402: Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Blog 10, Start-up Part 7

Even though we had agreed on the logo in the meeting, Gabs was not happy about using this logo and decided to change it, I did not agree with this decision as we had all agreed to use this and was approved by Alex, I had made it clear that I would not be happy changing this design and using another, to just make Hannah’s design Gab’s own by changing it a bit. After some disagreement and causing a lot of stress, I decided to just let Gabs do what she wanted as I was fed up with all the disagreements. With my father be been seriously ill in hospital and which we now know he had pneumonia, that led to sepsis, he was intensive care and we did not know whether he would make it or not. I was struggling to keep my straight, I had a meeting with Professor Alex Coles and broke down on him, as the stress of everything going on around me was too much. Alex suggested to put in an EC for this module and that him and Simon Poulter, the other tutor would create a brief for me to do, to make the marks. At first I was going to do this, but after some thinking and realising that all the work I put in for the group project, that I would then not be marked on the amount of week I had put into this project. Leading up to the final presentation and putting it together and who would do what bits, we decided to all included the parts that we had done ourselves and then we discussed who wanted to talk and who did not. Me, Mehrossa and Femi was meant to be splitting it between us, I did the social media and websites, and knew about the photography aspect and Mehroosa and Femi did the interior design and business concept, after trying to make a Teams meeting for all three of us to run through timing, this had bee changed by others on several occasions and even on the day the time changed there times. This was frustrating but just wanted to get it done, when running through the powerpoint it became obvious that Femi was not comfortable talking as much as he was, so Mehroosa decided to take over some of his parts and I took some more of hers, this needed up that I was doing the majority of talking but as long as it was getting done, I did not mind. On the day of presentation, I had a seizure in the morning and as our group was meant to go first meant this meant I had missed it, I had messaged Alex and Simon and told them the situation, they said that it was fine and to take as much time as I needed to come around. After 30 minutes I was ready to go and we did the presentation, the feed back after was good and we was happy overall.
