TMA1402: Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Blog 6, Start-up Part 3

After Hannah had left this still left six of us but they was still only half turning up to meetings, even though we had discussed this with the group and with Mehroosa now saying she could not do evening times, which we had never been told before and tried to meet at different times and dates on several accessions. When Mehroosa had brought this up and it being a Friday night, when she had told us and we needed to have something to show for the following Wednesday, I had asked when she was free to be able to meet before Wednesday, she said she could only do the weekend and everyone else said they could do Sunday if this was best for Mehroosa. Sunday came around and me, Gabs and Sushmitha turned up to the meeting on Teams, we waited and waited and no-one else from the group had turned we even tried to message them but still heard nothing, we knew from Sushmitha that the other interior designer Femi was working along side Sushmitha and doing work but this was not been communicated to us through him. Jonathan and Mehroosa said they would come to the meeting and did not show up, this began to feel really frustrating as it was stooping the rest of us from moving forward with the project and with only three weeks left to get this all complete this was putting a lot of pressure and stress on not just me but others, we wanted to complete this to the best of our abilities but when you are working as a group, you need to all work as a team and this was not happening.

After this meeting, we had finally heard from Mehroosa who had not mentions anything about not turning up to the meeting, but send us new logo ideas, initially I was not too keen on the logo concept as I felt that it did not fit the concept of our idea and navigated more toward a garden centre feel not a community centre and the name had just changed to just Growth not The Growth Project, and wanted to use the G as symbol. This kind of angered and upset some people, that were turning up to meetings and that we had agreed on concept weeks ago and what style of logo we wanted. With Hannah gone and no communication with Mehroosa, Gabs had taken on the responsibility of the logo and she felt like Mehroosa had wanted the make the project the way she wanted it to be and not what the group had wanted. With this said and the new logo concept been put in the group chat by Mehroosa, I was wanting to wait and think what to say before commenting back, as even though I was annoyed with the situation, I am not a nasty or argumentative person and did not want to say something that would upset her.
