Exhibition Committee
For our final year’s, end of year showcase we were asked if we wanted to part of the committee that would organise this. I put my name forward along with five others, the first thing we did was have a meeting with two of our tutors to see what we needed to do. We were all given rolls, my roll along with three other was to help with design of the website and catalogue, we was appointed a chair and the other rolls were treasure and communications. We was told that we needed to come up with ideas for fundraising, as we needed money to get the website and catalogues made. After the first meeting with the tutors, me and the other members of the committee had organised a meeting for us to discuses ideas of what we could do to fundraise, these are ideas included an auction, raffle, bounce-a-thon, competitions, go fund me pay and many more. These ideas where centred around been able to do them online due to the Covid-19 pandemic and keeping everybody safe and also that if the rules changed in the future we would not have to cancel as it would already be online.
The next step was to have another meeting with the tutors and go through our ideas that we had, we also get an idea of when the deadline was and how much we had to raise. After this we had another meeting with the other committee members and started to share jobs out, event though we had took on separate rolls we decided that we would share things equally so that we all did the same amount of week, after the meeting we had a clear idea of what we wanted to, we just needed to start doing these things. one of the members set up and go fund me page, one started writing emails to send to students, I got a few donations to be able to auction off or raffle off and also set up a Facebook group and other girl set up and Instagram group. At the moment we have raised £90 on the go fund me page and now getting things ready to put our fundraising ideas in place, hopefully we will make enough money to be able to do everything we need to do to create our end of year show case.
