Creative studio, blog 11: Moving forward
I always knew that I wanted to make my project into a book, this was something that was not possible in my final year off my BA (Hons) this was because of the Covid19 pandemic, with University not been fully open or shops, I was unable to make a physical copy of my project and also we could only produce a digital hand. Not being able to make the book in my BA I knew when continuing on to the Masters that this was something I wanted to be able to do this time around, I also wanted to add more to the images I already had, as I felt it needed more. Whilst looking at making a book, I looked at the different styles of books to see what I wanted mine to be like.
Looking at another photography books, I want my book to be different and stand out from the others, by using different materials that could be sensory and having an over all different look. I want to test on different printing paper to make sure that I get the best look for my overall finish book. I do not want to use cheeper paper as I feel doing this can make your photos not look as good as they would do on more expensive paper or look how they come across on the computer. As a photographer you always want your images to look as best as possible as you have spent that time creating the image(s) in the camera and want them to look the same while presenting them. Creating different forms of your final image or how you present that image can change the way your photography looks, this can be because when you are printing ink changes how it look or how it saturates into the type of material you are using such as, paper, fabric, wood, plastic, metal etc. You will always have to change the settings for each material your print on to get the right look for the photo and it will always still be slightly different on each material you print on or even on each laptop, computer, iPad, phone or TV you look on. As using these materials you want to use it always best trailing them out before you settle on a final material(s).
